Pulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Maintenance
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Maintenance focuses on aerobic activity to improve breath control, stamina, and daily functioning for people with lung conditions, using coordinated breathing to manage breathlessness.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a treatment programme made up of exercises classes designed for people with long-term lung conditions, information about looking after your body and lungs and advice on managing your lung condition and techniques to manage breathlessness.
To join one of our programmes, you would need to be referred by your GP practice or your local Respiratory Teams (RESPS).
If you have completed a 6 week RESPS course, then you would be eligible to join our programme. Please contact the RESPS Team to be referred. If you have not completed a RESPS programme, you will need to contact your GP surgery and ask to be referred by your GP. It will not be possible to join a PR programme without a referral.
You can obtain a referral form from us.
Our programmes run throughout the year and there is no limit on how many sessions you can attend. Participants are monitored throughout the programmes by our experienced qualified physiotherapists to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
